All you will have to do is visit the Jamb portal at https://www.jamb.org.ng and login with your Jamb username and password. After that, the Admission process will begin.

The six students kidnapped from the Igbonla Model College in Lagos state have regained freedom.
According to report, the six students were rescued from Aboto creek, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo state, at about 3.30pm yesterday.
Their release as gathered was effected by the Lagos and Ondo states government and the Nigeria Police.
The students, Pelumi Philips, Farouq Yusuf, Isiaq Rahmon, Adebayo George, Judah Agbausi and Peter Jonah were abducted from their school and when the kidnappers established contact with the parents, a ransom of N400m was demanded but this was later reduced to N100m owing to the inability of the parents to meet up with the demand.
The kidnappers were said to have advised the parents to reach out to others and deliberate on how to raise the N100m as well as mounting pressure on the state government to raise the money for them.

Two Nigerian senators have been attacked by suspected thugs earlier today.
The Nigerian senators, Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi were attacked earlier today during a press briefing in Kaduna.
According to reports, the senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani confirmed the incident which occurred in the afternoon.
Senator Shehu Sani further alleged that the thugs were sponsored by the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai as part of his personal and political vendetta against him.
The senator further stated that himself and the senator representing Kaduna north, Hunkuyi had organised the press conference to address the alleged “manipulation of the party” in the state by the governor.
Senator Shehu Sani further stated that journalists were also attacked leading to the hospitalization of one.

No fewer than 500 members of the All Progressives Congress in Ughelli South Council have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The defecting members were led by a former House of Assembly aspirant of the party, Olorogun Samson Okomitie.
He said there was no future for the APC in the state.
Speaking during the defection in Ekakpamre community on Saturday, Okomotie said they had decided to dump the ruling party at the centre following the lingering leadership crisis rocking the state and council leadership of the party.
According to Okomitie, “We have decided to leave the All Progressive Congress because of the lingering leadership tussle rocking the party from wards, local government and state level without any attempt by the party hierarchy to settle the crises.
“For some of us, it has become evident that there is no party like PDP in Delta and it was also obvious that APC has a lot to do to compete with PDP in Delta considering extent the party had gone in the state with massive development.”
He added that the development stride of the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and the internal democracy within the state chapter of the PDP convinced him and his supporters to join the ruling party from the opposition APC.
Okomotie as the new decampees were received by Ughelli South PDP Chairman, Mr Djegbe Oshetigho and other party leaders from the area.

Satomi Mustapha who lives in Konduga said that the suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber was nabbed by security operatives at an Internally Displaced Persons IDP camp.

Angelina Jolie has made a confession about her divorce from Brad Pitt.

“That was not the problem. That is and will remain one of the wonderful opportunities we are able to give our children,” the star said of her six kids with Pitt. “They’re six very strong-minded, thoughtful, worldly individuals. I’m very proud of them.”
“They’ve been very brave. They were brave … In times they needed to be,” she cryptically added. “We’re all just healing from the events that led to the filing … They’re not healing from divorce. They’re healing from… from life, from things in life.”
Jolie was rumored to have filed for divorce following an altercation between Pitt and their son Maddox on a plane, although Pitt was later cleared by the FBI of any criminal behavior. The actor recently told GQ he’s stopped drinking and started therapy since his split.
“I do remember a few spots along the road where I’ve become absolutely tired of myself. And this is a big one,” he confessed. “These moments have always been a huge generator for change. And I’m quite grateful for it.”

The Super Eagles are set to renew rivalry with the Black Stars of Ghana in the West African Football Union (WAFU) Nations Cup.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Draw Ceremony for the tournament meant for senior national teams in the sub –region took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra on Thursday.
The competition has been scheduled for Sept. 9 to Sept. 24, and teams are expected to feature wholly home –based professionals.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn in Group A alongside host nation Ghana, Gambia Siera Leone, Guinea Bissau, Mauritania Mali and Guinea.
The tournament involves a unique format that will see teams play single games before proceeding to the quarter finals.

Ghana and Nigeria have seven African titles between them, with the Super Eagles and the Black Stars featuring in the last two FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa (2010) and Brazil (2014).
All the teams in Group A will play in Takoradi, the twin city of Sekondi that also hosted matches during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles are drawn to play their first match against Sierra Leone.
Group B will compete in Cape Coast. 2015 African champions Cote d’Ivoire headline the pool that also has Senegal, Burkina Faso and Benin Republic, with Liberia, Niger Republic, Togo and Cape Verde also involved.

Hillary Clinton, the former US Democratic presidential nominee has confirmed the release in September of a book titled “What Happened” in which she opens up on her stunning 2016 election defeat by Donald Trump.
The book, to be published by Simon & Schuster in September, will explain how the former secretary of state came up short again in her fight for the White House.
“Writing ‘What Happened’ was hard, so is what we see every day. As we move forward & fight back, I hope this helps,” Clinton posted on her Twitter account on Thursday with a link to the book’s page at amazon.com.
“In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I’ ve often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I’m letting my guard down,” Clinton writes in the introduction of What Happened.
“This is her most personal memoir yet,” said Simon & Schuster on its Web page for the book in which for the first time Clinton reveals “what she was thinking and feeling during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in history.”
“Now free from the constraints of running, Hillary takes you inside the intense personal experience of becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major party in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules,” the publisher said.
The book describes “what it was like to run against Donald Trump, the mistakes she made, how she has coped with a shocking and devastating loss, and how she found the strength to pick herself back up afterward,” it added.

Mahrez himself would, at present, prefer a move to Barcelona or Arsenal after both clubs were linked with him during the summer of 2016.

 There are roadblocks to both those destinations, however, with Arsenal preferring to sign Monaco's Thomas Lemar if they can tempt the Ligue 1 champions to sell while Barca have re-signed Gerard Deulofeu from Everton already this summer.

Some reports have suggested the Gunners could turn to Mahrez if they are indeed unable to bring in Lemar, but as things stand they are not ready to admit defeat.

It is from these projects that we look at how much tax such companies or individuals should be paying?.
The investigators? findings will enable us compare the income and how much tax the company/person is really paying, and that gives us lots of information. But we encourage people to come up and pay their taxes willingly. You can register a high-end car. It tells me something about your income. So we look at your tax returns. If you registered Mercedes E-Class and you are paying N100,000 tax, then something is wrong. Those are red flags. We now have the capacity to assess people accurately.?

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said he would have burnt his Peoples Democratic Party’s membership card and flag if Senator Ali Modu Sheriff had won at the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

Fayose, who is also the Chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum, said he went to court with the intention of destroying his PDP card and flag if the judgment of the court did not favour Senator Ahmed Makarfi as the chairman of the party’s caretaker committee.



The Supreme Court, in a unanimous judgment, declared Makarfi as the authentic chairman of the party to put an end to the leadership crisis in the party.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, the governor, who said Sheriff and members of his faction had been forgiven, added that they must show remorse for causing the party members so much trouble.

He said, “I never imagined myself being in the same party with impostors.

“I went to court with a bottle of perfume, which I wanted to use to spray my card and party flag and set them ablaze, even on the court premises if Sheriff had won. That was why I went to court.

“Though, I believe that we remain the same PDP family but no one can cause our party such trouble and embarrassment and expect that he would go without being asked to account for his actions.

“Even the reactions of Sheriff’s people show that we are together. But the ‘no victor, no vanquished’ statement we made was a mere political slogan. Whoever participated in the matter must show some reasonable level of remorse for their actions.”

With Makarfi’s victory, the governor said the PDP would be revived to play its role as the opposition so as to dislodge President Muhammadu Buhari and Acting President Yemi Osinbajo in the 2019 presidential election.

Fayose also said his presidential ambition was still alive.

He said, “I am an early starter and that has been my style of politics. In 2003, I started earlier and I defeated Niyi Adebayo and also Dr. Kayode Fayemi in 2014.

“I want to tell you that the All Progressives Congress won’t return to the (Presidential) Villa. We shall defeat both Buhari and Osinbajo; we are removing the two of them together and I want you to believe this.”

In a related development, a socio-cultural group, Apapo Egbe Omo Ekiti (also known as Ekiti Collectives), has thrown its weight behind Fayose’s aspiration to vie for the Presidency in 2019.

The group also urged political parties in the state to pick their candidates from the South Senatorial District for the 2018 governorship election.

Jose Mourinho said on Friday Romelu Lukaku will be expected to deliver goals as the striker prepares to make his Manchester United debut.


Lukaku, who completed his 75 million pound ($97 million, 85.5m euro) transfer to Old Trafford on Monday, could make his first appearance in a United shirt in Saturday’s US tour match against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The 24-year-old’s arrival at United reflects the club’s difficulties in front of goal last season, when they were often unable to convert dominant performances into wins, drawing more games — 15 — than any other team in the league. 
Asked what he expected Lukaku to bring to United, Mourinho replied: “What will he bring us? Hopefully goals.” 

 Lukaku’s signing gives United an authentic target man, the sort of out-and-out striker Mourinho believed the squad lacked last term.

“(Lukaku)’s the kind of player that everybody knows that he’s a striker,” Mourinho said. “We are not speaking about a multifunctional player or a player that you can adapt, or we can create doubts about positions on the pitch. He’s a striker. 

 “So normally strikers they score goals and the reason he’s so important and he was difficult to get is exactly what he did in the Premier League.”

 Mourinho said. “Normally they need some time to adapt. And Lukaku plays in the Premier League for the last four or five seasons. I think he comes at the right moment of his career because he’s still a young player but he has years of experience in the Premier League also with the Belgian national team.” Mourinho agreed that he hoped Lukaku would help the team turn draws into wins. 

 “Let’s try,” he said. “He’s not a player that participates a lot in the build up. He’s a player that normally plays in the last third. “We had many opponents especially at Old Trafford that decided clearly to defend in their defensive third, closing spaces, playing with lots of defensive midfield players. “I think especially in the Premier League we need a target man which is not (Anthony) Martial or (Marcus) Rashford. We have good options. Good players.

  “But target man, a clear No.9 , the one that is comfortable to play in the box, with his back to the defenisve line? We thought Romelu would be a very good option for us.” Mourinho meanwhile said he had played little role in the transfer negotiations, phoning the player only to assure him he would be an integral part of his plans.

  “The only thing I did was to call him when the situation was almost there just to guarantee him that he would be an important player in my team,” 

 Mourinho said. The United boss also insisted he enjoyed a strong relationship with Lukaku despite reported tensions between the two during an earlier spell at Chelsea. Mourinho had questioned Lukaku’s “mentality” during their time at Stamford Bridge but on Friday said the two had remained on good terms. 

 “During that time where I was at Chelsea and at Man Utd and he was at Everton, our relationship was always very close,” Mourinho said. “The relationship was always very good. He’s intelligent, he’s polite. There was good feeling. And now we are back in different moments of his career and my career, in different circumstances. And I’ve no doubt that it’s going to work.”
